Consultation Fees

 

 

Fees for consultations are guided by recommendations from the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and may vary from time to time. Fees may also vary depending on the therapist you are seeing and your eligibility for healthcare rebates. 

 

 

Private Clients

  

You do not need a referral to visit Positive Outcomes Healthgroup.

 

Medicare rebates are available to clients receiving psychological services with a Mental Health Care Plan from a General Practitioner, Psychiatrist or Paediatrician for up to 12 sessions per calendar year. All Psychologists at the practice are registered providers with Medicare. Out-of-pocket fees are approximately $30 for consultations conducted prior to 6pm weekdays and approximately $50 for consultations from 6pm onwards (weekdays) and anytime on weekends. 

 

Self-referred clients or those without a Mental Health Care Plan may be eligible for rebates from their Private Health Fund. Most private funds offer rebates for psychological services under "extras" cover. The rebate is determined by your health fund and your level of cover.

 

 

Cancellations  

 

If you are unable to attend an appointment please provide as much notice as possible. Due to the amount of time allocated for your consultation, twenty-four hours notice of cancellation is required otherwise the regular consultation fee will be charged. Failure to arrive for a scheduled session will also attract the regular consultation fee.
