Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Tandos has completed a Bachelor of Behavioural Science with Honours in Psychology, and a combined PhD and Masters in Clinical Psychology. He has worked as a Psychologist in both public mental health and private settings in Australia and the UK, and has experience in helping adults, children, adolescents and families.
Dr. Tandos is a dynamic and compassionate therapist who draws from a range of workable therapeutic approaches to suit the individual needs and personalities of his clients. He uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness strategies, counselling and psychotherapy, analytic, holistic, and transpersonal approaches, and different healing techniques to help his clients resolve their current problems, reconnect with their values, and progress towards greater personal growth. Dr. Tandos continues to engage in regular research, training and professional development activities within various schools of therapy, and is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), Australian Society of Hypnosis (ASH) and the Association of Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS).
Dr. Tandos offers services to individual clients aged 15 and up. He sees clients with a wide variety of presenting problems including depression, anxiety, panic, phobias, trauma, anger issues, adjustment problems, relationship difficulties and family conflict, and vocational/workplace problems. Dr. Tandos has a specialist interest in working with adolescents, people from cultural minorities, gay/lesbian/transgender clients, and people who are seeking purpose, direction and meaning in their lives.
Dr. Tandos is available for consultation on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and evenings.
