Psychologist
Dr. Nicole Moriarty completed her Doctorate in Psychology in 2004 and has been working with adolescents and adults since 1998.
Dr. Moriarty has worked at a number of agencies including community health centres, drug and alcohol agencies, child and adolescent mental health services, Jesuit Social Services, Community Corrections, The Royal Children's Hospital, within the Court System and in private practice.
Dr. Moriarty has worked extensively with people who suffer from depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, grief and loss, eating disorders and body image, adjustment difficulties, trauma, psychotic illness, self-harm and suicidal ideation. She has extensive experience working with high-risk adolescents and adults and is particularly skilled in drug and alcohol counselling, adolescent behavioural problems (including aggression and sexualised behaviours), victims of crime, and crisis intervention. She has also facilitated groups and individual counselling for adolescents and adults with anger management issues.
Dr. Moriarty practices from a cognitive behavioural perspective, with aims of ensuring that psychological intervention is an empowering experience for the adults and adolescents she works with.
Dr. Moriarty is available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
